We are very pleased to launch ‘Home HeART Lives’ our online initiative for residential elder care homes during this time of physical restrictions. This project stays true to the roots of Home HeART but has taken us online and extended our support for creative activity in care homes.
Home HeART Lives is funded for 12 months by the Bank of Scotland Foundation and the Scottish Government Wellbeing Fund.
Home HeART (Care Homes and Day Care Settings)
In pre-COVID times, every year, we deliver arts activity to people in residential, day care and sheltered housing facilities across West Lothian. This is the main stay of our work and something we feel very passionately about. We work in three residential care homes for a whole year, each year, under the banner of our Home HeART initiative.
Committing to a care home for a year let’s us measure the real impacts of arts in care settings and makes a tangible impact on the breadth and depth of creative activities available to people in long term care.
The generous fundraising efforts of our committee and community class members contribute significantly to this programme, and ensures that older people recieving care across West Lothian have access to the social, mental and physical benefits that creative activity provides.
Home HeART is supported by a range of trusts, foundations and public money, alongside the generous donations of business and our community participants.
