We are very excited to hear that the team and volunteers at Polbeth & West Calder Community Garden are preparing a spooky cinema spectacular this Hallowe’en, with the help of mobile cinema experts Cinemor77. This Sunday 31st October, you can enjoy family-friendly favourites “The Little Vampire” and “The Addams Family”, or test your nerves with the classic horror “Friday The 13th”.

The Community Garden is just one group that we at Generation Arts have been supporting through Picture House, West Lothian’s own network of community cinemas accessing funding and support through Regional Screen Scotland’s Cinema Near You programme. Cinema Near You is fostering local cinema development to help everyone access the magic of screen. Training and professional support are available, as well as full funding for a pilot screening to gauge interest in your area, followed by financial support to cover the cost of licensing three further screenings.
