Our classes are restarting!

LIVINGSTON – Dance class, Thursdays from 12th August. Seated dance class, Wednesdays from 11th August. Both classes start at 10.30 and cost £4. Craigsfarm Community Hub, Maree Walk, Livingston EH54 5BP.

BATHGATE – Silver Tones singing group, Mondays at 11.30am (new time), Royal British Legion Club, Bathgate. Bathgate dance class will be back when the venue reopens.

CARE HOMES – We are running a Zoom dance class for care homes and other older peoples services. This happens on Tuesdays at 10.30am and is free. Please get in touch for the access codes.

We’re delighted to be able to bring to life the wonderful Stoneyburn Stories Walking Trail we created with the town in 2017.  Heritage signage will be installed in the 10 trail locations and the design of these are now underway. Generation Arts engages older people across West Lothian in non-competitive, expressive and creative activities that promote independence, confidence and good mental and physical health. We reach hundreds of people every year through our range of activities, which include arts groups, choirs, taster sessions, dance and intergenerational projects. Throughout the year we run a broad programme of activities in the community and in care settings for people in West Lothian aged over 50+. We coordinate activity in local arts venues, as well as community centres, day care, residential care homes and other places at the heart of West Lothian’s many communities. Our partners are West Lothian Council Community Arts, Age Scotland, West Lothian Council Social Policy, West Lothian 50+ Network, Ageing Well, Care Activity Network and Health in Later Life group. We all work with older people and recognise that by pulling together and sharing information we can have a greater holistic beneficial effect to create healthier happier communities.
